Raytheon to Host Knowledge Exchange Summit at New Corporate Headquarters in Waltham May 25th
WALTHAM, MA - Raytheon Company (NYSE:RTN) will host and co-sponsor a knowledge exchange half-day summit with the Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MassMEP) and Associated Industries of Massachusetts (A.I.M.) on May 25th. One hundred site, owner-operator, and operations managers from middle market, service and manufacturing firms will learn how to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction. The 9:00 a.m. summit will be held at Raytheon's new corporate headquarters in Waltham.
Throughout the morning, Raytheon will share solutions and best practices for its Raytheon Six Sigma™ methodology, a management vehicle for increasing productivity, growing business, building new culture, and designed to reduce costs. Raytheon has been using Six Sigma methodology for more than five years and as a result has recognized tens of millions of dollars in savings.
Speakers at the knowledge exchange summit include Don Ronchi, vice president of Raytheon Six Sigma supply chain and chief learning officer; Jon W. McKenzie, director of Raytheon Six Sigma; and Rick Lord, CEO of A.I.M. "We think our story is worth telling because some of the lessons we have learned in overcoming the challenges we have faced will speak to similar challenges and lessons . . ." said Dr. Ronchi.
In addition to the speakers, several panelists will share their success stories with event participants. Raytheon has secured Colonel Rodney H.C. Schmidt, US Commander, DCMA Raytheon Defense Contract Management Agency East, to discuss the impact of Six Sigma in the defense sector. Other panelists from the manufacturing and services sectors will reveal the positive results they have experienced as a result of implementing process and customer improvement programs.
