Hyde Tools to Receive MassMEP Lean Manufacturing Award

Southbridge Manufacturer Recognized at Ceremony on Friday, April 8, 2005 at 11 a.m.

State Senator Richard Moore (D-Worcester/Norfolk County) will present a Lean Principals Implementation award to Southbridge manufacturer Hyde Tools, Inc. on behalf of the Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MassMEP) on Friday, April 8, 2005 at 11 a.m. State Representative Mark Carron (D-Sixth Worcester) will also take part in the ceremony.

Hyde Tools is receiving the award for proactively implementing Lean Princips, which help manufacturers strengthen their company and create new business opportunities by streamlining production processes, and reducing waste and inventory. Hyde Tools has been working with MassMEP for the past two years to educate its entire workforce in Lean techniques.
