3rd Annual Governor's Manufacturing Summit Slated For October 26th
CEO Panel on Developing Marketable Products to be Featured

CONCORD - Recognizing that the best way to compete in the global manufacturing arena is to develop new products and analyze emerging markets, New Hampshire CEOs will share their success stories with their peers at the 3rd Annual Governor's Manufacturing Summit to be held Wednesday, October 26 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Grappone Center.

"Having a group of the state's top manufacturing minds provide their secrets to success presents a fantastic opportunity for all manufacturers to grow their businesses," New Hampshire Division of Economic Development Director Stuart Arnett said. "It's one thing to hear industry experts share their views on commercialization, but to hear it from the CEOs of local companies based on their experience provides much more added value."

The 3rd Annual Governor's Manufacturing Summit will bring together over 150 manufacturers, economic development practitioners and legislators for a day of presentations developed solely from manufacturers' suggestions.

With the theme of "Making It in New Hampshire," workshops will focus on the areas of supply chain leverage for small manufacturers, the Time Wise Value Stream Management System, Time Wise Kaizen Event Methodologies and securing capital for manufacturing development. In addition, Governor John Lynch will provide the opening address while also recognizing local manufacturers who attended all three sessions in the recently concluded "Governor's Manufacturing Leadership Series."

The Summit fee is $65 and those interested have the option to register online by visiting www.nhbia.org and clicking on the "Events" page or by calling the Business & Industry Association of New Hampshire at 224-5388. Sponsorship opportunities remain available.

The Summit is a cooperative effort between the Business & Industry Association of New Hampshire, the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development, the New Hampshire High Technology Council, the New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership, the Knowledge Institute, the New Hampshire Workforce Opportunity Council and the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center.
