MASSMEP ROUNDTABLE SERIES: STAYING “TRU” TO LEAN PRINCIPLES
Lean Champions TRU Corporation in Peabody Share Their Lean Knowledge with Manufacturers at Event on November 15

TRU Corporation, an industry leader in RF microwave interconnect solutions for more than 50 years and maker of high performance cable assemblies for the industries such as the military, aerospace, and medical communities, is hosting the next Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MassMEP) Lean Roundtable Series on Thursday, November 15 from 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at their Peabody plant.

The Lean Roundtable series is a chance for local manufacturers from a variety of industries to network and share knowledge on how to implement and sustain Lean manufacturing methods. As an area CNC machine shop, TRU Corporation approached Lean at an enterprise-wide level. As a result of their Lean implementation, and with the help of MassMEP, they have seen improvement in their processes in the office as well as on the manufacturing floor. Machine set-up times have dropped by 50 percent and product lead times have decreased by 25 percent.

As part of the program, TRU Corporation representatives will give a tour of their plant and showcase their Lean success. Participants are welcome to ask questions and provide feedback. Topics also to be discussed include changing customer demand and business strategy and holding on to the gains.
