MASSMEP PRESENTS LEAN ACCOUNTING SEMINAR FOR BAY STATE FINANCE EXECUTIVES Full-Day “Taking Action With Lean Accounting” Event Held at College of the Holy Cross on Wednesday, November 19th MassMEP (Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership) is holding a Taking Action with Lean Accounting workshop on Wednesday, November 19th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Hogan Campus Center at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. With more and more organizations adapting to Lean Manufacturing philosophies and practices, it is essential that financial executives become a partner in the transition. This seminar is designed to support efforts to ensure financial reporting meets the needs and standards of key internal and external stakeholders in each company. The hands-on Taking Action with Lean Accounting workshop will cover why the adaptation of Lean Manufacturing mandates a change to traditional cost accounting, as well as show what the new role should be for chief operations officers, chief financial officers, controllers, cost accountants and other financial professionals. Jean Cunningham Consulting (JCC), a financial and process improvement consulting firm that brings in a combination of finance and Lean Manufacturing expertise, will share first-hand experiences across a wide assortment of Lean companies, and demonstrate strategies to achieve accounting goals. Presenter Janice Frampton, Senior Lean Consultant with JCC, is a CPA with more than 20 years of experience in leading organizations during periods of significant growth as well as during periods of cost reduction and dissolution. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on November 19th and is required for this event. The cost is $495 for the first registrant and $395 for each additional company registrant.
