MassMEP Offers Course on Lean Manufacturing Measures
Workshop Focuses On Performance Measures for Lean Companies
Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MassMEP) is offering a full-day Strategic Performance Measurement for Lean Manufacturing workshop designed for managers and presidents of lean companies, lean team members, and others who develop and use operations performance measures.
The workshop builds on the theme of Lean Accounting, and addresses the problem with current performance measures and what measures can support a lean factory. Since lean production is aimed at the elimination of waste as well as incorporating less inventory, traditional performance measures can not work in lean plants as those traditional measures support building large quantities of products, not one product at a time.
Bruce Baggaley, Senior Partner of BMA Inc. is the featured presenter. He specializes in the development and implementation of management processes that incorporate lean accounting and lean performance management systems. He will show participants how to modify a "Starter Set" of performance measures, as well as develop plans to implement performance measures for use in individual manufacturing plants.
Participants can register online by clicking here, or by contacting Kathie Mahoney at 508-831-7020 or kathiem@massmep.org by Friday, October 20th.
